Michelle’s parents came to town for a visit during the last week of July. We spent the first couple of days showing them the regular tourist sites such as Kerry Park and Seattle Central. The four of us took one of the Argosy Boat Tours around Lake Union and Lake Washington. This tour included views of many mansions, including Bill Gates’ house, and many of the famous floating houses, including the house featured in the movie Sleepless in Seattle. That evening we headed to Chinatown for a parade. It was back to work for Huy on Monday, meanwhile Michelle, Anne and Terry enjoyed the Underground Tour of Seattle and a walk through Pike Place Market and finished the evening with a homemade crab dinner! Then it was off to Victoria for a couple of days…a bit of a rough ferry ride but we made it there in a few hours. Definately a bonus that we grew up around the Thousand Islands…not many other people we so lucky! We finished the last couple of days of their vacation with some shopping and relaxing around Seattle before it was time to head back to Ontario.
